Canadian Jr. A: Ontario Region Update

Here's a look at the Standings in the Ontario Region. I have done the Pacific and West Regions recently. I will wrap up the updates with the Atlantic Regions with the Central Junior A Hockey League, Quebec Junior A Hockey League and the Maritime Junior A Hockey League tomorrow.

The Ontario Junior A Hockey League is a product of the late Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League where the Kingston Voyageurs and the Georgetown Raiders are putting a gap between them and the rest of the league. For Georgetown, 5 players currently have 20 or more points through 19 games.

Jeremy Wick is leading the team with 16 goals while Steve Perfetto is leading the team with an impressive 23 assists. Kingston is getting it done with their great goaltending with Joel Vienneau with a strong 1.58 GAA, the Voyaguers backup has also done well when called on as Landon Noel has a 6-0 record with a 2.14 GAA and only have given up 34 goals in 18 games played this season.

The Gap from 3rd to 8th is going to very tight as the Trenton Golden Hawks who are currently in 3rd, but are only 5 points up on 8th place Couching Terriers who sit on 21 points right now. The Scoring race is going to be a run away as Matt Smyth has a 13 point lead who already has an unreal 51 points (22G 29A). Jeremy Mccarty who is running away with 2nd place with 38 points, its pretty much going to be a race for 3rd place in the Scoring race.
