USA Standings as of 11/9

United States Hockey League

In the East Division, the Green Bay Gamblers are leading the East, but from 1st to 5th the gap is just 3 points as Chicago, Cedar Rapids, and Indiana and Youngstown are all in the hunt about a month into the season. It's starting to look like that Waterloo and USNTDP will fall behind the pack very quickly.

Out West, the Omaha Lancers and the Sioux Falls Stampede have been battaling for the Top spot out West as the gap is just 2 points. Tri-City is looking much better in 3rd place after being the worst team in the USHL with the 2nd best team defense in the league. Fargo who's in 4th is falling back to earth as many teams do after winning the West Division last season.

Des Moines, Lincoln and Sioux City are just a few points back of the West Division Playoff spots. It's starting to look like the West is going to be much more competitive then the East this year.

North American Hockey League

In the NAHL, It's getting very tight in the Central Division as the Owatonna Express and North Iowa Outlaws are currently tied for the Division Lead with the Bismarck Bobcats winning 4 of it's last 5 find themselves just 3 points back for the Division Lead with 18. For Alexandria and Albert Lea, it's most likely going to be a battle for the final playoff spot in the Central as the Blizzard are in 4th and the Thunder find themselves in last with just 8 points, at 4-14-1, it's currently the worst in the entire league.

Up North, the Traverse City North Stars are starting to get some space after winning 6 of their last 8 including a sweep of the Marquette Rangers recently. The Marquette Rangers are just 3 points with Janesville not going away just 2 points behind them with the success of Rui Encarnarcao whose tied for the league lead in goals with the Faribanks duo of Mark Pustin and Jared Larson with 13 goals. Motor City is not going to be easy to deal with either with both goalies having GAA of around 2.50.

Topeka and St. Louis are starting to runaway with the South Division as the Roadrunners are doing with the leagues best defense by giving up just 39 goals in 18 games. All of their goalies are around 2.00 and a great offense with Cole Schenider 10 goals along with Ryan White and Erik Higby both in double digit assists. St. Louis has Garret Bartus in net with a 7-2-1 record with a strong 2.11 GAA despite having just 2 players in Daniel Olszewski and Ryan Stouffer are the only players over 5 goals so far.

Wenatchee contuined their domination of the West with a weekend sweep of the Texas Tornado and still have a 12 point lead over the Alaska Avalanche. However, the Wild have played the most games in the league with 25 so some big gaps are coming up where the rest of the West will get a chance to catch up. The Wild's next game isn't untill November 17 against the Kenai River Brown Bears.
