For the Stars, this drops them to 12th place in the Western Conference where they currently sit in 11th place 6 points of back of 8th place Detroit at the moment. The Stars will look to beat the Red Wings tomorrow afternoon at the AAC. Elsewhere in the NHL, the Phoenix Coyotes pulled of the big upsets of the night with a 4-3 win over New Jersey while Boston beat Pacific Division Leaders San Jose 2-1 in a SO.

The lone game in the AHL saw the Chicago Wolves beat the San Antonio Rampage 5-3 to get them into the 4th and final playoff spot in the West Division as they jumped the Houston Aeros. All 3 Texas Teams are in action on Friday as the Texas Stars host Toronto, Houston heads to Peoria while San Antonio will host the Chicago Wolves again.
