New Mexico nipps Division Leading Wichita Falls in SO

The New Mexico Mustangs are recovering nicely from the slow start that got them in last place for now. Last night a back-and-fourth game in Rio Rancho saw Evan Johnston and Adam Chapie score in the SO to beat the Wichita Falls Wildcats 3-2 and to get the Mustangs back on track after a rough weekend that saw them get outscored 13-2 in a pair of games against the Amarillo Bulls last weekend.

As for the remainder of the weekend, New Mexico will head to the Coastal Bend to play the Corpus Christi Icerays will the Wichita Falls Wildcats play a pair of home games against the Topeka Roadrunners on Friday & Saturday Night coming up.
