What a Turnaround for Texas, the Stars stun Hamilton to make the Final

Talk about a huge turnaround for the Texas Stars, when the 2nd period started, it was looking like it would have been a long night. Now the Stars find themselves in the Calder Cup Championship with a 3 goal 3rd period as it was the only evenly played period as the SOG were 9-9 apiece in the final 20 minutes of play.

Mathieau Beaudoin got the scoring going with a goal set up by Pertu Lindgren to tie the game at 2-2 with Stephenson having a huge part of setting up the goal that begun the 3rd period rally. 5 Minutes later, Perttu Lindgren got his 3rd point of the night as he completed a madman type night that got him the game's first Star when he scored the game winner with 6 minutes left.

Then to put the game away, Jamie Benn scored his playoff leading 14th goal with just over 90 seconds left to complete the comeback and end the Bulldogs season in Hamilton much to the disappointment to the fans who thought it would have been a run-away midway through the night.

So it's on to the Final as the Texas Stars will take on the defending Calder Cup Champion Hershey Bears who are looking to win their 3rd Calder Cup Title in the last 5 seasons (2006 & 2009). Which will get underway on June 3 from the Giant Center in Hershey, Penn.
