Texas comes back to tie the series at 2-2

After the teams first playoff loss of this year's playoff run. The Texas Stars came-back strong with a strong team defense and keeping the Wolves PP off the scoreboard for the most part to win 3-2.

With the win, the series will at-least head back to Chicago for a Game 6 coming up this weekend. Travis Morin also scored his first 2 goals of the post-season while Dan Jancevski put the game away with just 7 minutes left in this game to even up the series at 2-2.

From Cedar Park, Texas: The Texas Stars defeated the Chicago Wolves 3-2 on Wednesday Night at Cedar Park Center in Game 4 of the Best-of-7 West Division Final. Stars defensemen Dan Janceveski broke a 2-2 tie with 6:17 remaining in the 3rd period, leading Texas to victory over the Chicago Wolves.

Stars Center Travis Morin scored his first 2 goals of the playoffs as the Texas Stars tied the best-of-7 series at 2-2. Goalie Brent Krahn picked up the win, stopping 21 of 23 saves. Wolves winger Brett Sterling scored twice in the loss. Chicago Goalie Peter Mannino stopped 20 of 23 Texas Saves. Game 5 of the West Division Final will be on Friday Night at 7:30 PM at Cedar Park Center.

Texas took an early 1-0 lead when Center Travis Morin scored on a breakaway after a one-on-one with Wolves goalie Peter Mannino. Morin's first goal and eighth point of the post-season came at 6:23 of the opening period. Chicago tied the game at 1-1 with a power-play goal at 11:12. Defensemen Nathan Oystrick fired a shot from the blue-line and Brett Sterling redirected the puck past Brent Krahn. The goalie was Sterlings 2nd of the playoffs.

After a scoreless 2nd period, the Stars jumped ahead 2-1 as Morin scored his 2nd of the game at 6:06 of the final frame. Morin found a rebound in-front of the net from Greg Rallo's shot and fired a backhander past Mannino on the stick-side. Defensemen Derek Stephenson also tallied an assist on the rookie's team leading ninth point.

Just 2:31 later, the Wolves tied the game at 2-2. Sterling scored has second goal of the night, finishing off a centering pass from Winger Anthony Stewart for his second goal of the game. With 6:17 remaining in the third period, Stars Defensemen Dan Jancevski scored off a rebound in the crease, giving Texas a 3-2 victory over the Wolves. Francis Wathier and Greg Rallo both notched assists on the game-winning goal.
