4/16 Scoreboard & Playoff Update

As the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs contuine, a theme is starting to develop and it's the number of 1 goal and OT Games. Friday Night saw the OT Trent contuine with San Jose VS. Colorado playing a barn burner of a game were a back & fourth game saw San Jose's Devin Setoguchi help tie the series at 1-1 with games 3 & 4 in Denver. A 4 goal 3rd period wiped out an early goal in the 2nd period by Patrick Kane to put the Preds up 1-0 after the playoff opener for both teams.

Close games were also the theme on Friday Night in the AHL as 4 of 5 games ended in 1 goal decisions as Manchester, Albany, Hershey & Texas all won in low scoring games while the Chicago Wolves shutout the Milwaukee Admirals 3-0.

Major Juniors are starting to get into their league semifinals. In the WHL has the Brandon Wheat Kings & Vacnouver Giants win the opening games of their best of 7 series. Kitchener is looking to pull off one of the biggest upsets of this year's road to the Memorial Cup as the Rangers are up 2-0 on the Spitfires. While Barrie & Mississauga have traded blows at home so far in the series.

The QMJHL has the 2 New Brunswick Teams currently up 2-0 as St. John & Moncton are looking to become the first All Atlantic Region Championship in QMJHL History.

Jacob Fallon: Fallon had an uneventful Game 1 with no points or penalty minutes in the game. He only had 1 SOG and was Even on the Game as well. So far, he hasen't had a great playoff run so far with just a single goal through 7 games.

Blake Coleman: Coleman had an assist on Alex Wideman's Game Winner Goal midway through the 3rd period. He also had a +1 on the night with 2 SOG & No PIM on the Night. This takes his point total to just 2 assists on the playoffs so far.

Southwest Watch

C.J. Ludwig: C.J. Was held pointless in the Game. However, he was apart of the physcial presence with 4 penalty minutes and had a single SOG in this one.

Ryan Daugherty: He was off the scoresheet completely with 0's across the board.

Johnnie Searfoss: Johnnie Searfoss only had a single shot on goal with nothing else. Points, PIM's etc.

Chase Grant: Despite not having any points in the game, he had a couple of close calls where he had 5 shots on goal and could have made a difference if he would have had at least one of them gone in.
