Odessa regains Top Spot in Final CHL Regular Season Poll

In the Final Regular Season Coaches Poll, the Odessa Jackalopes have been able to regain the top spot as the Jackalopes have been able to stay on top of the poll for a majority of the season. In all in the final poll, all 10 teams that made the playoffs were in the top 10 as the League's Conference Semifinals got underway tonight.

After being knocked down to the #2 spot for two straight polls, the Odessa Jackalopes have reclaimed their spot atop the Yellowbook CHL Coaches Poll in what is the Final Poll of the 2009-2010 regular season. The Jackalopes won the CHL Bud Polie Governor's Cup (Regular Season Champions) and have the best record in the CHL at 48-11-5 and become the first team since 2004 (Laredo Bucks) to reach 100 points in the regular season (Odessa finished with 101 points).

Odessa was voted the #1 team all the way through the poll of 2/3 before the Rapid City Rush, the current #2 team, claimed the top spot for two polls.

The #3 team, the Colorado Eagles, all the way through the #8 team, the Mississippi Riverkings remained unchanged from the previous poll with the Jacks and the Rush flipping spots and the #9 Missouri Mavericks switching places with the #10 Corpus Christi Icerays accounting for the only changes.

True to form, the top 10 teams reflect the 10 CHL Teams that made it to the playoffs.
