Unlike my usual weekly posting of scores. I will post scores each day because of the number of games played each day starting tomorrow through Saturday. It's going to be done the same way that I did for the opening of the QMJHL Season last week.

AT&T Metroplex HS Hockey League Divisions
The Divisions for the AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League are expected to come out sometime either today or tomorrow. Again this year, they will be Gold and Silver Tiers for both the Varsity and JV teams for HS teams are over the D/FW Area.
Over the weekend, each team played 3 games in a preseason showcase to see which division different teams should be playing in this season. Depending on the number of teams that could change divisions, it's going to very when everything is going to finalized.
If you go to the Dr. Pepper Starscenter website and find the league logo, you can find more info on this and other changes including reducing the number of teams that make the playoffs for both the Varsity Gold and Silver Divisions this year, unlike in recent years were every team in the varsity was allowed at least on playoff game.
Regarding playoffs this season, the state tournament has been brought up all the way to the end of March as the addition of the first ever HS Hockey National Championship which will be from April 14-18. The State Champion will automatically qualify for the National Tournament. This will give us an idea of Texas Teams stack up nationally, twice before teams from the Lone Star State have won the Rocky Mountain Regional Championship with the Allen Eagles winning it last season and the Coppell Cowboys won the Regional Championship back in 2004.
The Regular season for the Varsity will begin on October 1 and October 4 for JV teams across the area.
