This weeks Southwest Hockey Schedule 1/16-22

Here's a look at this weeks Southwest Schedule as different All Star Games are coming up. Beginning with the United States Hockey League (USHL) Top Prospects Game which is coming up on January 24.

The Dallas Stars have been delivered a massive blow with All Star Center Jamie Benn having an emergency appendectomy to really make it tough over the next couple of weeks without the team's top centers in Mike Riberio & Jamie Benn. As for this weeks schedule, a brief road trip to St. Louis to take on the Blues tonight, followed by a pair of home games against the Detroit Red Wings & Tampa Bay Lightning this week as the Stars will have to be extremely Pesky (Note the Nick Name Pesky Stars) over the next couple of weeks as they will have to rely on being successful in lowing scoring games coming up.

They will wrap up this weeks schedule with their 2nd to last game of the Pre All Star Game Schedule with a short road trip to the Minnesota Wild coming up on January 2. When the Dallas Stars return from the All-Star Game on February 1st against the Anaheim Ducks, the Stars will have just 34 games remaining in the season as they will look to gain ground on a very tight group from 6th Place Nashville to 12th Place Calgary is just 7 points right now.
