We got the begginning of the Central Hockey League tonight as the Texas Brahmas will look to begin the season where they left off with a road win against the Colorado Eagles in a rematch of last year's President's Cup Championshp in Colorado tonight. Also, the Allen Americans finally make their league debut in Arizona against the Sundogs.
As for the some of the other Southwest teams, Amarillo is heading to Kansas to faceoff against the Wichita Thunder as both teams look to improve after both teams who finished last in their conferences last season. Also, the Odessa Jackalopes host Corpus Christi, Laredo and Bossier-Shrevpeort will meet in Lousiana and the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees have the night off before opening against Laredo tomorrow night.
In the NHL, A very busy night with the Stars hosting the Boston Bruins who lost their only match of the year against each other last year in B-town. As for the rest of the NHL, a Western Canadiean matchup as the Calgary Flames host the Canucks.
In the Major Juniors, Colin Jacobs and the Seattle Thunderbirds make the short trip to Everett to take on the Silvertips, while the high flying Winterhawks contuine their Alberta Road trip against the Red Deer Rebels.
Then finally in the NCAA, Austin Smith and Colgate look to contuine after a great opening weekend with a game against the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks. In addidition, we have our first Conference Games of the year tonight as we have 1 game in Hockey East as defending Champion Boston University will take on U-Mass and 3 games in the WCHA as Minnesota State takes on Minnesota Duluth, Colorado College taking on the Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Golden Golphers will travel to North Dakota to take on the Fighting Sioux.
